Custom Ketuba Gallery by Elaine Adler
The ketubot shown represent the tip of the iceberg.
Let's talk about a design that reflects your own personal style and taste.
Original ketuba ©1999 Elaine Adler — 22" x 22"
An egalitarian text in Hebrew and English. The woodsy design reflects the couple's love of the outdoors and hiking, with the redwood and birch trees representing the two coasts. The mountains at the top are a reminder of their wedding in Vermont, with the passage, for the mountains may depart ... but my love shall never be removed from you above them. A passage about two streams of light coming together, attributed to the Baal Shem Tov, surrounds the circular text. Tucked into the tree roots are a number of personal symbols (skis, their cat, a plate of spaghetti), and a Hebrew chai is carved into the birch trunk.
