Custom Ketuba Gallery by Elaine Adler
The ketubot shown represent the tip of the iceberg.
Let's talk about a design that reflects your own personal style and taste.
Original ketuba ©2004 Elaine Adler — 22" x 26"
The couple who commissioned this ketuba challenged me to place the traditional Aramaic text in the center arch of Escher's famous multi-dimensional drawing, allowing liberties to accommodate the proportional changes required by the text. I turned Escher's horns into curvy shofars, made his bird a dove of peace carrying an olive branch, and added views of a tree filled with Judaic symbols. Escher's astronomical symbols evolved into Kabbalistic images.
