GIFT FOR PARENTS:
At times, a bride and groom for whom I've designed a ketubah or wedding invitation ask me to create a gift for their parents as a way of thanking them for all their love and support. They present the gift either at a party the night before the wedding or during the wedding celebration.
GIFT FOR WEDDING PARTICIPANTS:
Some brides and grooms commission a special gift to present to good friends who have supported them in their lives and in the preparation of their wedding, or are participating in the ceremony and festivities.
Through personal dialogue, we can brainstorm about the type of imagery that might speak to the recipients: a ketubah, a family tree, a huppah created out of passages, a passage from the Song of Songs in Hebrew and English, a favorite poem, etc. The possibilities are limitless because each work begins with a blank page. Whether the resulting design is small and simple or more complex, it is appreciated as a lasting connection and remembrance.
Those who trust my ability to take a passage and turn it into something special, telling me to go forth and have fun with it, keep my creative juices flowing as pens and brushes play on the paper.
When clients provide a budget for the project, I create a design that falls within the time allowed, based on my hourly fee.
