This family tree was presented by a number of friends as a wedding gift. The couple's families had done genealogical research, and family is very important to them. Knowing this, the friends who chipped in were thrilled to present a gift that is meaningful to the couple, as well as a lasting remembrance of their friendship and the celebration of their wedding. The names of the bride and groom appear on either side of the trunk, with curving branches that conjure up the shape of a heart.
