Before creating this family tree, I stained the paper with wet teabags to create the effect of an old manuscript, a feeling desired by this family. Immediate family members are shown in the branches of the tree, parents' names are in the trunk, grandparents are in the roots, and ancestors going back to the mid-1600's flow as the ground beneath the roots.
