With this Bar Mitzvah taking place in the Fall, near the High Holidays and the harvest festival of Sukkoth, we decided to use a tree bearing grapes, apples and pomegranets. Birds sing in the tree. A Torah and the tablets with the commandments symbolize the holidays. One extra touch is a soccer ball sitting in the crook of a tree limb to represent this boy's interest in the game.
