This invitation was created for twins. In writing the Hosea passage from their Haftarah portion, Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, I tried to create the effect of watery waves meeting sand. The starry sky and moon complete the night scene. Printed with beautiful silkscreened silver ink on a rich navy paper, backed with silver paper with a narrow border showing around the edge to set it off, the effect is of a shimmery night scene. The enclosure and response card, shown below, echo the colors in reverse, printed with navy ink on silver paper, creating a smashing invitation set.
