Original Bar Mitzvah Gift, 17"x16", ©2009 Elaine Adler
This gift was presented to a mother who had an adult Bat Mitzvah. When her mother-in-law shared with me that her daughter-in-law is a blessing, and that she recites the blessing over her three young girls every Shabbat, I suggested these two blessings as the focus of this artwork. Included is an image of a Torah and of a mother blessing three girls. When I get to participate in such warm and beautiful family feelings, it is a blessing for me.
